Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Saffron Terror or Hindutva terrorism is a neologism that refers to a few terrorist attacks in India suspected to have been perpetrated by extreme Hindu nationalist groups. It is largely viewed as a term mooted by self declared secular elements to balance Islamic terrorism and there by save Muslims from being scapegoated in the name of terrorism. Pseudo-Secular groups have claimed that there is a religious terrorist group behind the, seemingly random, attacks against Indian Muslims in recent years. The more controversial phrase of "Hindu terrorism" entered public debate in India following the 29 September 2008 western India bombings. The term has been criticized as a "myth" and as a tool for political posturing toward the Muslim minority. BJP president Rajnath Singh has denounced such claims as "vilification of Hindu saints and army officers in the name of Hindu terrorism".

From the first Islamic building of Kaba and the Grand Mosque surrounding it, the Islamic architecture had developed considerably. When Islam came to Indian subcontinent, a new era began. Islam was confronted with an existing style of architecture that was very old and developed. The difference between Hindu and Muslim style of architecture was clearly marked. The Hindu temple had a scared chamber, icons, carved figures, spires etc with trabeate method of construction. On the other hand, the mosque facing the direction of Mecca and encompassing a rectangular open space employed the arcuate method. There were no idols or images as it was prohibited in Islam. There were true arches, tiles, painted plaster, tiles, calligraphy, arches and domes. Apart from mosques, there were tombs and secular structures like forts, palaces, gardens and pavilions. Gradually, there was synthesis of Hindu and Muslim styles and the Indo-Islamic architecture developed with its own identity.

The work discusses the authenticity of local Islamic cultures and the practice of local Islamic cultures in Malabar. Historians had emphasized that the advent of Islam in Malabar was in its early years. The nine century long Arab interference from sixth century to the fifteenth century caused to the cultural exchange between Malabar and Arabia. When Islam spread in to the rural areas of Malabar many low caste and middle class Hindus converted to Islam and as a result many Hindu customs mixed with the Islamic culture. The local culture of Malabar had influenced Islamic culture to an extent. Thus there formed a local Islamic culture in Malabar which is different from the other Islamic cultures. This special Islamic culture will be received because the local customs had much consideration in Islam if it was not opposing the primary Islamic references.
